I wouldn't say any of them are crappy, that is kinda mean

I like this song. Then again, I liked "All the Midnights of the world" from Planet Earth too I'm not sure why there's so much hate for the song. It's quirky. It's bouncy. It's not exactly radio ready even though it's catchy. I think it's fun little pop number. i was really pleasantly surprised and enjoying the song upon first listen ...right up until the song announced it's own title as the first lyrics i really don't like that. it's time for a new direction / it's time for jazz to die

OK, He doesn't have a lyric sheet so here's what I heard: Ah huh The morning after The morning after, It didn't hit me until the morning after I remember you hiss and then mules were gone, Then I miss the smog and sound of your laughter, Now I'm sleeping in this bed with a trombone, At first I thought the only lesbian who left me, Was a prostitute that smoked in your ear, I ain't a doctor but I know that's unhealthy Instead of coming, Shiva counts Brahma's tears, I could have drove a boat but you wouldn't let me, I don't care how far as my butt was naired, Ain't tryin' to push U cause I know you just met me, I'm just wishing that mules weren't queer, I'm not kind man that sat on ponies, It's just that something tells me that you're the one, Even if you lugged somebody else's bony derier, the moment you're done, Pleas don't tell me that u lost my number, Just cut back overalls if you call, I got some music that'll make mules rumba, Wickans Jam, baby, all night long The morning after UGH The morning after hhh hhh hhh ha the morning after huh huh...huh huh.. The morning after It didn't hit till the morning after. This is the only way I hear this song now... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

I really dig All the midnights in the world, it has one of Prince best pop melodies of this decade, and both the lyrics and the delivery have a quirky charm.
The Morning After is a bit in the same vein, but it doesnt do much to me. Its a wee bit to 'simple' and lacking the magic that All the midnights does for me... but again: nothing wrong with a little pop-ditty to 'counter' an entire CD full of generic R&B crap on autopilot (THAT other CD....lol)

I really like this song. It's a really cool pop song that doesn't go any longer than it needs to and it makes me feel good. I actually like how this song goes after "Boom" more than "Crimson and Clover". I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Me too Purplecam. Crimson sounds awesome after The Morning After too with that bang.

i REALLY like this song even more than crimson & clover, (the 'wild thing/sock it 2 me one time' is actually the only part that moves me)
anyway, 'the morning after' reminds me of 'the who' meets 'the stranglers' i'm not comparing prince 2 any of the band..least of all paedypete but if prince churned out a few windmills on his guitar, they wouldn't look out of place

I like it, but there's something he's doing with his voice that bugs me a little.
Overall, though, I think it fits well on 'Lotusflow3r.'

I like it, but I don't think it's worth $77. Basically, the only thing you get by joining the website is this song. Considering how much this song cost, it could have been a little better.

Don't forget the t-shirt that no one has received yet. I bet Tyrese didn't even pay for a damned membership. He is exactly who we thought he was
