Prince said in an interview that if you want to get to know him just listen to his songs... so since most of you listen to his songs daily, what is your synopsis of him?

The answer all depends on what period in his career we're talking about because he's a different person with each album. And each album is a different piece of him. And if it isn't, something's changed somewhat.
If you give me all of the 80's work, I'd say he's the type of guy who began blaming the fall-outs of a relationship on the women and later discovered he was the one at fault (and in several ways, he condemned himself for it and tried to learn from his mistakes... its up to debate if that ever worked after Anna Stesia, I guess he stopped with the super naughty, sexy tracks for the most part).

Then if you looked at songs like Partyup and D.M.S.R., or even the whole 1999 album, pieces of Purple Rain and SoTT... and Parade, you see that he's a guy that doesn't try to get bogged down with anything trivial and wants to enjoy the best of life.
But I think for the most part, his music makes him sound like he's more out-going than he actually is. Sometimes that side of him leaks into his everyday life (his band members have said he's had days where he's very luquacious-spelling?, and he's chill, having a good time, ranting/raving about something).

A lot of his tracks have religious/spiritual connotations attached to them, so we know for a fact that he feels very close to God. In the albums where he does a lot of "preaching," it was a time when he came to another realization about himself and wants to share what he learned with others. Whether or not they listen... we still have to figure out

During the time when he was "enslaved" by Warner Bros, his music reflects that, especially since there are tracks that talk about being trapped, controlled, unable to go the way you want to. In conjunction, Emancipation is the biggest open letter you will find because there's so many different love songs, so clearly he's in love... and there's a lot of talk of making amends after he got what he wanted. Naturally, there's a few tracks about freedom.

As for how he currently is, I can only go as far as Planet Earth because I haven't heard the new albums enough times yet (Lotus- 3, MPLS-1 ). That album began with somewhat of a personal campaign to respect God and our planet. But the rest of the songs give the impression that he's serious about looking for love. Every track with one or two exceptions is either about him wanting to get with a certain person, him telling that person what he'd do to make her happy and it somewhat ends with the fact he's not quick to trust... which undoubtedly is true.

Most guys his age don't want to have kids. They want to enjoy their "old age" when they retire. Who would want to marry a man who's not home a lot of the time, who has a hectic schedule? I'm sure he's paying Mayte and Manuella some sort of money each month to keep the lifestyle they became accustomed to. He's earning money for himself, his retirement and to pay his former spouses (if he is for example).

He's enjoying life and his freedom of not being tied down.

Being an expert at not having much money...can make someone very creative. I've often thought about living in a house with Prince that we designed 2gether...and truly...Love can go a long way. If Prince wanted to have children with me..I would have a tubal reversal...
