I have no problem with gay people at all. and I would have no problem with Prince if he was gay. but how do you prove to non-fans that he isn't? naturally I'm not 100% sure, but I am 99.9 and I would like to know if there are any good arguments besides, "hey listen to his music, he doesn't act gay! or He's a JEhova!" once again, there is nothing wrong with gays, but I do have a problem with people who don't know a lot about prince!

If non fans are not aware by now that he isn't gay etc then forget them. But look up a 1997 New York magazine issue with Alec Baldwin on the cover and he states he had beef with a fella that was raggin on his then wife Kim Bassinger for fuckin Prince before Alec met her..."he was calling her names because she fucked Prince before..." gay guys wouldn't fuck Kim Bassinger.

Don't judge a book by your impression of it's cover, is what I would say.

I am gay, I was married to a woman and no one knew my orientation until I came out. My point? NO ONE can prove anyone else's sexual orientation. And take it from me -- even asking a person sometimes or looking at their sexual history isn't bulletproof.

I can't say if Prince is gay, straight or something in-between, but I have seen the man wear garter belts, heels, and high make-up; sing about dancing with or taking "anyone, boy or girl," having a guy sleep in-between he and a lover and mentioning that "we all have the male and female with us." All this makes hetero defense harder. lol

I have always said that body language says everything. I once saw Prince in San Jose and he had Santana as a guest. Well supposedly Santana had some promblems with his gear and several ppl tried to fix it. Then Prince gave it a try and he bent down in a totally girlish way that said to me that he has to be atleast bi. Never the lees, the dude is the most gifted musician out there! What does it really matter?

Prince's sexual orientation isn't important to me anymore, but it used to be. When I was younger, it was very important for me to defend Prince's "straightness."

"I really hope he's singing about a girl." That's what used to think. And, typically, like the naive pup I was, when I heard him say "girl," I just assumed he meant an actual girl. As I matured, I realized it didn't necessarily have to be a female.

I don't care now, but I can understand someone young and impressionable guy wanting to make sure the songs he sings in the car on the way to work were written for a girl, not a guy.
