There was a thread a little while back that discussed inconsistencies and quirky details in Purple Rain. What things have you noticed in UTCM?

--When Mary gets the phone call from Jonathan, she puts the conversation on speaker phone, but continues to hold the receiver to her ear for the rest of the conversation. Why?

--Speaking of Jonathan, who played him? No one is given credit for his voice.

--Christopher comes home from his night with Mary and argues with Tricky. How does he get changed from last night's clothes into that pajama outfit (including matching heeled boots!) so fast?

--Isaac calls his henchman to, basically, put a hit on Christopher. The room is dark, the light goes on, and the henchman is lying on his right arm and reaching for the phone with his left hand. So...who turned on the light?

--Christopher is dancing during the Girls and Boys sequence. How many of you believe that he really puts his jacket on to the beat and how many believe that they must have just run the tape backward at that point?

--Also during Girls and Boys, can SOMEONE explain what was up with that dance that Tricky does where he ends by cocking his head to one side and just looking confused? :LOL:

At the end of the movie why did Cristopher take the boat out to get Mary? Tricky got to the same place without taking a boat. That let Isacc know where he was.

Can't remember the scene since I don't own the movie anymore, but it was one where the boom mic is clearly seen hovering above the movie's characters. That's the director's (Prince's) fault. You're only supposed to see that stuff in Behind The Scenes, or The Making Of type of documentaries.

when Christopher Gets Shot that alone is so Funny.that was almost a James Brown Split on the One.I think the Heels were gonna knock Him over before the Bullets did??

i have my own little funny quirk from Under the Cherry Moon.you know when Jonathen is singing happy b day to Mary, Prince commments "Billy Eckstine he aint baby".well i am now married to Billy Eckstines grandson, so this gives me a little chuckle each time i hear it.

Here's one:
The scene when Prince(Christopher)is taking a bath and he jumps out the tub to talk to Ms. Wellington on the phone to recite his poem...He isn't really naked! He has little black bikini drawers on!! I know because there's a mirror right next to the tub and Cocosweet kept slo-mo and pausing to try to catch a glimpse of some of Prince's good and plenty!!!
