The "Surprise" Hits and Radio Toppers

I think its obvious to every Prince fan that Dance 4 Me would be the hit, but that's just to us. We're still stuck back in the 80s! All of us. That's going to be the mix in the club.

HOWEVER, for the radio stations, after a couple listens, I'm going with "No More Candy 4 You" and "$." They sound different and might make Prince relevant again.

Might.

Prince isn't irrelevant!!!
He's just rocked out 3 nights straight on Jay Leno, played 3 sold out shows in LA., He's able to ink deals with record label with many restrictions as he wants and get Target to market and promote his new cds!

How irrelevant is that??? C'mon ppl...Prince is still around and doing well.. So GOD BLESS HIM!

That's kind of what I believe...I think that "Dance 4 me," is a home hit...and "No More Candy 4 U," is the radio hit. cool

The only thing that's going to push any of his songs on radio is promotional money, which Prince has always been loathe to spend out of his own pocket. Maybe if AEG comes up with some cash...

What you mentioned doesn't mean he's relevant. Prince has always tried too hard to regain his relevance by incorporating rap and silly shananagans, when all he needed to do was just be himself.

Relevance means that what he does matters beyond just the fact that he's Prince and can sell out a show just by showing up.

But yeah, Candy 4 U is a wicked. This seems like Prince being Prince. Don't know why he hasn't been making this kind of music for so long.

And $ is very strange as it starts okay and gets better as it goes along until its badass. These will kill in concert.

Radio stations are obsolete. Prince is out there on freaking "Gossip Girl" hitting the teens with his bad-ass Target video commercial. The CD will sell oodles, with probably no radio play and the best marketing he's ever had.

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Dance 4 me will never become a hit.

Its obvious that people will never 'buy in' to the idea of some 50 yo guy asking a girl to dance for him on an outtake of New Power Soul.

Get a grip, please.

LOL, I thought I was the only one that was going to say "No More Candy 4 U" should be played on the radio.

He needs to put out remixes for that particular song and perhaps a b-side
