Better With Time -- how true indeed This is the best ballad from Prince since I can remember (which probably means since I hate U).
In recent memory his ballads became predictable and cheesy - they were enjoyable to listen a few times, but then just got stale. He could put them out in his sleep. (See Satisfied & Call my name for two great examples) Better with time is DIFFERENT. It has a totally unexpected melody and grabs you in a totally unexpected way. More than that, I keep hearing new nuggets of brilliance with each listen - -- it truly does get better with time!

Wow! Listening to the whole set yesterday I was wondering where the hell the slow jams were To each their own I guess 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

And who is getting better with time? It can't be any of the broads in his life considering he eats them up faster than a bag of Fritos He must be looking at himself in the mirror when he sang this! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

As far as I know, this song is dedicated to British actress Kristin Scott Thomas who had her first role in Under The Cherry Moon. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

He´s still got great hair though, dyed or not. He should write a health and fitness book. It would sell like hotcakes. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! OMG! I quite prefer the perverted ramblings the likes of CindyC. Now THAT is the way to get a broads attention This album is horrifying. I know people like it but I'm not one of them. Valentina Invoking Something in the Water but watered down to the point that it's pointless. Blech! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I was wondering about the same thing as you....why now ? Why her? They're still good friends. In an interview last year she actually called her making Under the Cherry Moon with Prince a "miracle" because the connections she made while in France with that movie introduced her to the world of French cinema (where she eventually made a name for herself). She said she wouldn't have had the same opportunity or success has she started off in England. [Edited 3/30/09 12:17pm] Change it one more time..

i Third that..love the song..u can feel how sincere...emotion. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

It's a complete lie, at least coming from him, considering he doesn't date anyone over 23. But it's a nice sentiment anyway

I think the song is okay. The song doesn't have a solid structure to it.. It seems to linger on almost to a rambling stage. I like the idea of the song, and the melody he was trying to create. However, I think the song lingers and doesn't really get to the point.
The vocal part around 3:22 sounds real nice.. wish more of that was in there. . [Edited 3/30/09 23:31pm]
