Perhaps they should be the same? I'm not sure whether The Truth was included in the preorders taken on 29th January? It Probabally was, well spotted. Should I go edit that immediatly? It was definately included in the retail release of March 3rd 1998.

What about 1-800-New-Funk? -- it was released in Summer 1994.

well pre-orders were taken in 1997, actually.
but i think they should both have the same release date, since they arrived together (in 1998).

Oh, and what about Kamasutra from Prince and the NPG Orchestra? It was part of the Crystal Ball/The Truth release.

What a career this man has had.
I would definitely include New Power Soul. I always count the Madhouse albums are Prince records; they are every bit "Prince" as Xpectation is. But then, one could make an argument that Exodus & Goldnigga be included, as well. I guess it all depends on what ya consider a "Prince" album. With Prince, it's not an easy definition. * * *

Yeah I'm trying to keep it at official Prince albums. Not exactly sure where we stand with Girl 6, is it a soundtrack, a Prince or a Various Artists release? If I were to listen to one a week for a year I reckon I'd substitute Newpower Soul for the Very Best of since thats the only release that offers nothing new.

well in that case, we'd be adding 3.5 Time albums, 2.5 Sheila E albums, 2 more NPG albums, 1 each for the Family, Jill Jones, Tamar, Bria, Carmen, Eric Leeds, two 1/2 albums for Mavis Staples, etc. where does it end?

Sorry buddy one is credited as the NPG orchestra and the other the NPG (despite it being a Prince album in all but title). By that rationale we'd also have to include the new one from Bria and about a dozen others from Mayte to Sheila E.

That is amazing. The Grateful Dead were together for about 30 years and they had around 120 of their own songs. It just shows how great Prince is. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...
