Girls & Boys/Holy Rock live (bass & drums) per4mance question Hi,
I have this 1986 per4mance by Prince on vocals & bass & Sheila on drums of "Girls & Boys" & "Holy Rock" & i was wondering when & why it was recorded. Wasn't it 4 a TV or radio broadcast? Thanx 4 ur help. | |

IIRC correctly it was in a club, Prince and Sheila using the equipment from the band that played there. Not for any special broadcast. | |

The songs in question were recorded at 7th St. Entry/ First Avenue in Minneapolis on July 11th 1985 (not 1986).
The best known quality of these two tracks is included on the third disc of Sabotage Records' 6th volume of "Purple Rush" (SAB #354-359). Free the music. | |
