I wouldn't give a shit if he just had a typed up piece of paper stuck in there but when I buy a CD I wanna know who's playing what.

As for the music, I've only been through Lotus Flower once and other than Feel Good etc. I'm not too impressed. Maybe other tracks will grow on me but I haven't been this unexcited by a new P disc since... well, since Planet Earth which I didn't even buy.

MPLS is on now and it sounds a bit more promising.

I'm not a hater so please don't attack me. I just prefer my Prince funky. If he never made a rock song I wouldn't miss it at all.

Different strokes for different folks but leavin' out the liner notes is an unforvigable sin in my book.

I love reading these. Here is my Target story from another thread:

Chesterfield Township, MI

I was in the parking lot by 7:40AM. I was surprised that nobody else was out there waiting but I'm not sure why! A few people rolled up before, though. I think two different people where there for some video game thing that must have been in the ad as well. One couple that I did not expect to be there for the Prince Cd were. It was actually in the front. I figured I missed on on being the first person so I said never mind and went into the back to pick it up there (same kind of display....must have had at least 100 copies out with both displays). Anyway, picked it up and noticed and browsed through the other music (didn't look like they had any other Prince stuff...guess since it's an NPG release and I don't think any other NPG albums are in print, might even be in his contract not to push the "Purple Rain" and "The Very Best Of..." Cds. And did anyone else notice the display on the floor? It's the "Lotusflow3r" cover with a flower cut-out right in front of the music display. It will probably be ruined in a matter of days, though. I took a picture on my cell phone but I don't know if I can send it out to my email without paying extra.

Also, the cashier kept looking at the CD and said "I like old Prince" and I said "One of the CDs sounds like old Prince". She kind of reminded me of the Target lady on SNL (played by Katherine Wiig?).

Well it all started on Saturday when I saw the Target circular in the newspaper. I get real excited with that one!





Then yesterday, I'm on the subway going to Brooklyn to meet up with my Purple buddies to go to Target and I'm jamming to MPLSound like I've been doing and then Chocolate Box comes on and yeah I'm getting excited about it but then I look up and as I'm hearing the song, what's front of me makes me laugh out loud on the train.









As you can see, the whole side of the train was nothing but Snicker Candybar ads. It was a long ride (I was going to Coney Island, last stop on the D) so you know I laughed again when "No More Candy 4 U" came on! Then I met up with the crew and we made it to Target. It was so cool seeing Prince on display like that.



If you look at the rack, you can see the CD was selling so that made me happier than a mug! Got home and was even happier. What a great day and weekend it's been to be a Prince fan.
