After listening to both Lotusflow3r and MPLSound I have to say that Prince has done something I never thought would happen at this point in his career. That is to make a studio album that transends the energy of his live performances. With the past three releases (Musicology , 3121 & Planet Earth) all seeming like Prince was trying for nothing but a pop hit on the radio , these two albums Prince went back to his roots and really scored big time. This is the first time in years that after listening to a new Prince album for the first time I said Holy Shit ,this is bad ass ! After listening to these albums it really made me feel as if Prince has been reborn as an artist and has created something new and fresh. Prince U got yo groove back , way 2 go brotha !

Why wouldn't you think he could ever do it? He hasn't been reborn his real fans have NEVER counted him out, never.

Both CDs are great; each song's unique qualities in lyrics and arrangements, not to mention production, etc. showcase why Prince is the Man in creativity and skills. I've never seen other musicians put it down like that. He's right...there will never b another...not a brag, just fact.

I agree with you that he has on fire with this release, but I never thought he

ever lost it. Each new release has been a delight to me. I just think this

one feels like 1987 all over again. And I love that feeling!

we are all human, and it's been so long, it's perfectly normal to feel the way we were feeling. Princes "outlier" years was more fruitful and lengthy than most pop music genuis's so i was simply looking for what he's been giving us for years now, a few gems burried in the muck. I figured i'd like one song, maybe 2 from each album and call it a day, but i was pleasantly surprised.
