Better with Time and Here

Better with time

I hated the song during the first spin, but this song does get better with time wink. Now I can;'t get the damn melody out of my head. The way he sings the sing the verse is so sincere, and the harmonies during the middle- so so good.

Here.

Another one I wasn't really feeling at the first spin. Now this is almost one of my favorite songs from MPLSound. It's crazy how his music does that to me. I was really dissapointed with MPLSound at first now I'm really feeling it.

These are two of my favs from the entire set. I didn't think I would like MPLSound..but I actually listen to it the most. Here is an all time classic.

yup. the only thing i dont like about Better With Time is the near end....gets a bit too corny, just the last 40 seconds or so.

What do you guys think of Valentina I really think it's has a lot of single material..definitely the track that got the most spins when I first downloaded the set.

Hmmm, I don't know dude. I'm still on the fence with that one. The whole thing is just kind of weird to me. Talking to a toddler about her mother...and the beat is just so so.

Weird...it's hillarious..the beat is that "dylan hot fire man'. Reminds of dorothy parker in a strange way. The creativity and arrangement with the "hey valentina" chant in the back is bananas.

I find that song creepy in the extreme.

I'm hanging onto the hope that we hear some kind of "La la la he he hee" backstory for this song...because I can't believe I'm hearing him describe a mother's physical attributes to her daughter - and telling the child how everyone wanted to boff her mom. shake

Yeah. Amazing you get such a song from an artist who had the great taste to write songs as Sister and Jack U Off. A complete letdown.

he's only stating the facts. I think he does it in a way that's appropriately offensive(is that an oxy mororn?). I think it's a sign of the times for him(no, not like the song), in the sense that who he's wanting to hook up with has children, instead of being children. I think it's my fave off the record. A record I thought I would hate judging from the Lead leak song...the atrocious another like me song.

I'm still not completely sold on the ballads but one major PLUS to MPLSoUND is that he's abandoned that cookie-cutter template he's been stuck on for years (On The Couch, Satisfied, 4Ever).

you know...u really creep me out. i mean he wrote the song for a friend..Selma. i'm sure she heard the song or maybe was even there when it was being recorded, and loved it enough to put her stamp of approval on it. So who cares what u think. It was obviously an "inside joke" between the 2 of them.
get a grip y don't u. confused
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Agree with both of you — "Here" is wonderful. Sucks that we're gonna lose it on the retail release.

I think "Here" is my favorite song on MPLSound, the vocals are perfect. Livewire, are you sure about "Here" not being on the physical set? I thought "The Morning After" was the only thing that wasn't on it.

Jesus, can you read? I did leave the door open to the possibility that it was an inside joke. That's what I meant by a "La la la he he hee" backstory, dingdong. rolleyes

One question though: what's the line after "like wine, u get better with time"?
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh
