Who is still cool with Prince? After reading the flame that is the Jill Jones Thread. I wonder who still is actually cool with Prince from back in the day? Who has been down with him from day one and still is around?
We know he and Morris are cool. (at least during the Rave video shoot) Lisa and Wendy speak to him. Who else? | |

I think with the exception of a small, but vocal minority. Prince is cool with a majority of people he worked with from back in the day.
With the exception of Jill, Andre, and Jesse. Prince doesn't really have to many ex comrades that don't like him. People talk about Wendy & Lisa, but if Prince presented the opportunity for them to do something together. They always jump at the chance. Carmen says she'd work with him again in a heartbeat. He's been working with ex bandmates all the time. Sonny, Mike, Johnny B, etc. His ex wives only speak positively of him. Nona probably isn't too fond of him. Other than that, I can't really think of too many people. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!! | |

As far as an answer 2 the ? 'm in 4 life. Hell, better B cool, just spent $77 on a lotusflow3r subscription that can B gone 2morrow. Then turned around yesterday and spent another $35 on a cassette collection on ebay, something really don't need. I think I'm still quite cool with him - I just know when to listen and when to change the channel. I get bothered, but I always go beyond the knee-jerk reactions and remember he's just as human as me, and is entitled to be just as God made him. And I have to say that when I listen to the new songs, particularly on MPLSound, I feel that special tug at my heart that I haven't really felt since Lovesexy. Which is odd, cuz I never expected to have that feeling again... | |

Dez Dickerson - one of the oldest and most influential Prince associates wh never gets enough recognition - has never spoken harshly of Prince. I think he even mentioned on his website that he caught a Musicology gig. He was replaced by someone who isnt half theplayer he was just before Purple Rain so if he were less of a man, he could be bitter. He even has a song that he made well before When Dove Cry that has the exact drumline but never says Prince copped it. | |

Yeah,she's still good friends with him,even though they had a brief falling out in the early 90s.At one point,she wasn't even allowed at Paisley Park anymore.He was pissed at her because she was still friends with Gilbert Davison,whom he was feuding with at the time.Poor Sheila was caught in the middle,lol. | |
