I think they were aftershows, or shows in a small setting. He could hand his guitar to someone in the crowd so they can "feel it". Obviously, his guitar tech would take it right back. Ah..well if I was ever so lucky to have it in my hands, I would have to strum those strings just once. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

Ok. Prince is looking VERY thin. On TV everyone knows the camera adds 10lbs...I realize he's a Vegan. But damn! I read he had hip replacement surgery. He might not be getting enough protein? Which might be why he's wearing sponge-heels now instead of his usual 5" or 6" stelleto's (maybe his doctor made him lay off them heels)
If the cut he did is from lotusflow3r CD. I see why folks say it's reminiscent of the real God of rock...Jimi Hendrix! Prince musically is...legendary! However, I'm curious about his JW devotion. I lost a little respect for him, publicly stating he does not VOTE! I just found that VERY irresponsible!

I thought Prince was brilliant on Leno. I had more than one problem. Why did he have to come out and say the white house is now black, No Prince, it's still white go look! We have an african american president. The white house was not named the white house because our president's skin color. He also said power to the people. What people prince? Your Rainbow children, or just the african american people? I have been a fan for way over 20years. I spent plenty of money on your concerts, fam clubs, downloads, tee shirts, books. My draw to you was not only your music, but your ability to combine races and unite them even if it was only for 2 hours.I never viewed you as seeing in black & white. Now that we do have our african american president maybe we finally can have unity. We need artists of all colors to stop promoting one select color people. We need Artists to promote unity of people of different colors. I am a white female that voted for our african american president,as did many other white people did. Please help us promote unity not segregation!

During on of the Tamar gigs in DC, Prince handed me the infamous Telecaster after tearing out our frontal lobes with a solo. I was standing directly next to a security guy and I had the guitar in both hands. It was surreal - like some kind a dream I might have had of meeting Prince and him giving me a gift that I would cherish forever. The big security dude took it. I had no delusions of being able to keep it. And even if Prince did say I could have it, I would have had to fight my way out of that club.

And it was good to see Bland and Sonny T again. Bland looked liek he is even fatter than he was in Diamonds and Pearls days. [Edited 3/27/09 5:05am]

I am a "fan without funds" for his site and enjoyed his apperances so far on Leno. I can't understand what he is singing very well with his new "technique"? but loved to see him and listen just the same. I would sum it up as watching a performance by Prince. I loved both so far and looking forward to tonight. He is very thin. I've been saying that for a year now. Maybe he needs his thyroid checked. Other than that I thought he can still bring it with his same attitude and style, plus he remains gorgeous. Wish my eyes could look that good!!! Thank you Prince for letting the underfunded get in on some of the action happening. Loved it. No matter what U say or do
I will always appreciate U 4 U U r amazing and U never stop working Luv each day, ignore the critics lurking

In Love, Light, Peace, & Positive Energy There isn't a doubt that History has dished the "African American," population a bad time. Ending that poor relationship is not President Obama's job. The gap between Excess wealth and poverty is on the table...Old idea's about inequality are dead to those that have a spiritual education. Random talk about it in the future, whether it be in a song or dinner conversation between any color should be welcomed as a place to forget the past so the future is brighter. In Love, Light, Peace, & Positive Energy As I said in another thread, people aren't dealing with what he actually said. The line is, "The White House is black. We got to take the radio back." My take on this is that he's saying we elected a black president - something people said was impossible. We got to take the radio (and record industry) back, too - something people also say is impossible. It isn't political - and it isn't that deep. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

[sticky. -Mars23] Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |
