question about lotusflow3r packaging.... 1) it doesn't contain lyrics. one thing I've loved about Prince was he always gave you the lyrics.
2) No songwriting credit. Did prince write everything including Bria's cd? AND play all the intruments? How about the producer..?...Jamie Starr? 3) On the back of the CD, near the bar code is a b&w photo of someone at a microphone, pointing.....it doesn't look like Prince to me. Who is it?

1&2
He put it all on lotusflow3r.com like with Planet earth so you could be a fool like me and pay $77 for a 12 dollar cd set and the lyrics and a few videos :-/ to get all that info 3 IDK [Edited 5/18/09 11:05am] [Edited 5/18/09 11:05am]

the lyrics are on the lotusflower site. just about the only thing on there
credits are on the site too. should also be on the cd imo. oh well. they were also not included on planet earth. no specific credits anyway. the picture in the right hand corner is indeed prince it's a picture from the 21 nights in london photo book. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

LOL Jamie Starr ain't produced anything since he died in a haze of drugs after Ice Cream Castles.
Prettyman is right. All the credits are on the site. He played most everything on Bria's and MPLSound, but Lotus has a lot of credit to the band, including Sonny T and Michael B.

i really think that at least the credits to the album should be featured on a free-access part of the lotusflow3r site.

What's the point of having the credits, when we all know that Prince is behind every song on all three albums. Besides, reading the credits takes you away from listening to the material and I think this was Prince's point by not including them with the CD's. I don't think it's ignorance and he was not the first artist to do that. Maxwell sort of did the same when he refused to place his face on the front of the CD. He say he did not want his pic to take away from the music. Now, I know that your going to say, "but his face is on the back"? Yes, it is. But when u first picked up "Urban Hang" Suite", it was not because of the face on the cover. It was because of the music. All Prince is saying is, the hell with the words, just listen to the groove. Frankly, there isn't anything wrong with it. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Had Prince have done that, we wouldn't have gotten the music for 11 dollarz. I love the booklet's too, but the economy is tight these days. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

he could have put the info on the back cover or in one of the inner panels or, as i said before, he could have put some kind of link on the entrance page of his official site where people could access the credits without having to pay 77 bucks. it's really not a big deal and i don't think it warrants a whole warren investigation mega-deconstruction thread. it's just that credits are cool because it gives, well, CREDIT, to the people who worked on the album with prince, and it's cool when those people get their recognition. and that shouldn't have to be hidden or accessed for a fee. but if that's the way it's going to be, i'm sure it's not going to cause the earth to hurdle into the sun, so i'm pretty sure either way we'll all live to see another day. i think.
