Buy it, it's worth it. If I was an artist I wouldn't want anyone to (only) download my albums, no matter how far I got in life already, whether I am rich or not. It's not about the money, it's about principles.
I have to admit I downloaded it too, but that was because I am from Europe and I just can't wait until the albums are released here and I'm too young to join the website. A friend of mine will buy Lotusflow3r twice in the US - one for her, the other one for me - and send it to me via mail. Prince will get his money and I will know I didn't steal anything from anybody (except for the song The Morning After, maybe, but if there is any possibility of paying for that one song only I will do it). | |

Those extra tracks are going to be way beyond normal consumer pricing norms. Prince has done himself a disservice by creating a market for a couple of songs, and not providing reasonable availability at a reasonable price. The long and short of it is, Prince will be paid for these sets. We were told all along that it wouldn't ship until a certain number of orders were received. Lifetime memberships are only good for the lifetime of the site. Anyone who thought otherwise should get their head checked. And charging cards multiple times is a mistake, its not "wrong" in the sense being discussed here. The above examples aside, I actually agree with what you've said in this thread.People are sharing the album because of choices Prince made regarding track selection and delivery. It may not be legal, but its too be expected. | |

FYI I will be buying the 3 CDs despite the fact it will cost me approx. $60.00 AUD. And who knows when I'll get it as Prince has kindly not organised distribution beyond the centre of the world. ...note sarcasm. 
Now the very least I should expect is that the albums have all the tracks. But NO! He's conveniently (READ THIS CAREFULLY PEOPLE) swapped two tracks on the net release and the CD release. Leaving me the only legal option of getting this ONE ALBUM TRACK (not an out-take) "The Morning After", is buy subscribing (paying $110 AUD!). Giving me a grand total of $170 AUD just to get the basic tracks on the albums. That is bordering on offensive. 
Now, KEEP READING PEOPLE, The same situation applies for those who have paid the $77 US. Again, paying that ridiculous amount of money, you would @ least expect that your Album DLs would include the 1st single! but NO! 
It's a disgrace. It's Prince ringing every last cent he possibly can out of the people who keep him afloat.

I tried to join the site about 20 times if not more, I have spent enough money over the last 25 yrs just on Prince, to not give a shite where I get my fix from. A friend of mine who flew to the states today will be bringing back the hardcopy in about two weeks and by then I hope that the website is sorted out and I can join up.
I commend those that leaked it, as they obviously paid for it and have virtually nothing to gain from leaking it. Plus, I cant see how Prince and Co can really say anything against it, without looking stupid, after all, some members couldnt even access after paying. Where I do have an issue, is when like 2 yrs ago, folks where putting PE on ebay, after getting it free in a newspaper, that was simply...Criminal If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.
