Just importing into iTunes now.....

well, I paid to join 'the club' and after a long frustrating time finally got he albums downloaded (mp3, wavs keep screwing up....)

a friend of mine also joined and as of a couple of hours ago he still hadn't been able to get 1 of the albums downloaded properly, he rang me with his frustration...so I told him where to go after a quick search...

it shouldn't have been that hard, and since he HAS PAID for access (around $130 NZ), I don't feel guilty for telling hm where to get it 'unofficially....once again - it should not have been this hard and for that reason thats why I thought it fair to hlp him out...Prince still got paid, but the end result was for this particular 'fan' was not good re. the site

he's also ordered the CDs - but like a lot of us wants that extra track...after all he's paid for it....

I'm sure things will get sorted...but surely they knew that the site would be so slow without more servers....

The point I'm making is that several suggestions were made to Prince on how to boot the bootleggers but he chose to ignore that advice and stomped off stating how the internet was just bootleggers and pornographers.

If he's chosen to come back to the net as a money making excercise then he should take the very simple steps to control the release or not complain when it leaks. He can't have it both ways.

please lock it, i forked out the cash, and i dont see why people should get it for free - especially when the music is so good, prince deserves to be paid.

downloading illegally is a criminal activity.

The albums have leaked. I found them yesterday afternoon pretty easily. Doesn't mean that I won't be there early Sunday morning to buy the physical copy of the records, especially to get "Crimson and Clover".

The sticking point is that there are 2 tracks in question which are packaged separately from each other. Many people want those tracks to complete the project. If you join the site, you need to purchase that extra track for $12 on up. If you don't join the site and choose to purchase the retail CDs, you need to pay $77 for that extra track.

Those extra tracks are going to be way beyond normal consumer pricing norms.

Prince has done himself a disservice by creating a market for a couple of songs, and not providing reasonable availability at a reasonable price.

The long and short of it is, Prince will be paid for these sets. Torrent sites may have the entire 3 Disc Set, but the core fans will only be "stealing" one or two songs.

I'm gonna listen to the tracks and still buy the album.

"Leaked" is being used kind of loosely around here. The WAV and mp3 files are in the cloud by design. They just got moved around. I don't think that the CD configuration with Crimson & Clover is in the pipeline yet.
