Ok - this may not be "forum" worthy; but I gotta see who'se with me on this:

After Musicology, 3121, and Planet Earth -- this time I'm gonna be patient and before I buy the new CD's, I'm not going to seek out any "leaks" or "sneak previews" beyond what has been released on the lotusflow3r site right now.

Too many times before the experience of opening the CD and being completely surprised by the songs has been ruined by my insatiable desire to hear the music - even in poor quality - before the release date! No more..... this is gonna be great I'm mad I've already seen the tracklist - but I'm rapidly forgetting it

However i always say this and then at any sign of a leek im ususally all over it like a cheap hooker.

However this time i want 2 wait and enjoy cracking open the CD not having already heard all the tracks.

Will i be able 2 resist? Only time will tell

I'm with ya. No downloading. I just wanna have the cds in my hands on the Sunday and be able to enjoy.

I'm going to be patient and wait too. I just hope that there isn't a leak for this to be an issue and if there is one, I hope I can stay strong to not listen. Again, I hope there isn't a leak.

I'll do what I always do with a Prince album: Buy the album(s), put it in and start playing it and excitedly read through the liner notes. (I really hope the lyrics are included.) No leaks, no advance stuff--I just want the product in the player while I look at the booklet. And I'm sure I'll get impatient and have to skip from track to track, not being able to wait for it to play all the way through because I just have to hear what's next. I have to have a Prince album for a day or so before I can actually listen to it all the way through.

That's the system that's worked for me for the past quarter century or so, so I guess I'll just keep on with that.

I wish I could go into this completely unaware, but I've already heard Crimson and Clover, 4EVER, Colonized Mind, Wall of Berlin and the NPGMC snippet of Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful. That's half of Lotusflow3r right there! From MPLSound I've heard (There'll Never B) Another Like Me and the LF3.com snippet of Chocolate Box. I've also heard two? tracks from Elixer (Here Eye Come and Another Boy, I think). I'm feeling kinda spoiled (in the sense of spoilers) right now.

I've actually downloaded and/or ripped everything he's put out there, so far. You never know when he might change his mind and hold something back. (For instance, we've already heard that Disco Jellyfish isn't on any of the new discs.)

Yeah, I believe that out of respect for Prince. We should not download the new albums.

I've heard the samples also at the LF3.com site and the Feel Better snippet at NPGMC but also I'm just not going to listen to that stuff. From here on out I'm waiting until the release so I can hear the cd with fresh ears.

P might hold something back. True but that stuff is really not difficult to find if P does hold it back!! If you are going to download you are more than likely going to ruin the experience on release day.

I'm going to wait too. It will be hard, but I miss that feeling of surprse. I've even stopped playing all the song we already have just so they might sound fresh again.

I'm not waiting. The very fi´rst moment I have the chance to listen to new prince music, I will download it. SO BRING ON THE LEAK !!!!!

Sometimes I will listen to songs Prince gives us a sneak preview of, but now I've found that I'll stop doing that as well. I'm also going to stop reading reviews of them.

I don't read reviews of leaked songs....nada.

My first several listens are all my own.

who's still holding up? I am! barely. I must admit if I wasn't having so many issues I'd def be watching the videos today. but I am having serious technical difficulties with the site. I'll probably listen to a couple of the songs though....but not burn them...maybe...
