Burning the mp3 files on a disc Hi,
When I burned the mp3 files on a disc and listened to it, the sound was all messed up. Do you have the same problem? Is it some sort of protection? That would suck because I want to listen to the albums on my sound system, not on my computer!!

I did the same thing, and the audio is fine. Except the skip between tracks and not continous play... I used Windows Mediaplayer. [Edited 3/25/09 3:24am] Aka Mister T at moquake.com

[Edited 3/25/09 3:24am] Dont use WMP, It puts gaps in. Use something else like Winamp. "Lisa, i'm gonna give u the brush, and u're gonna paint the side of the train..."

You shouldn't be burning the MP3s to a disc anyway -- that's what the WAVs are for!

WAV files are true-CD quality files. They are the highest quality and are uncompressed.
MP3s - no matter how good they sound - are always "lossy" versions.

iTunes supports gapless CD burning of mp3s. But use the WAVs, they will inherently have better fidelity than the mp3s.
WAVs are not necessarily CD quality, as they can, and usually do have data removed to make the files more portable. mp3s can exhibit noisy audio artifacts during playback as the compression deteriorates the original bits deemed not necessarily audible to the human ear. Will you hear a difference between 320kbps mp3s and WAVs? Probably not, unless you use quality headphones for the bulk of your listening. Red Book or better mastered CDs are the real way to go for the best digital sound. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
