Your Screams Are Like a Prayer. The song, "Soul Sanctuary," is absolutely beautiful and is just one of the examples of Prince's romantic heart and vocal abilities.
Prince sings, "Over and over your screams are like a prayer, in the dark u were there...my soul sanctuary." What do u think of when u hear this song? It makes me think that someone's screams are calling to Prince 4 his comfort...and He in turned is comforted. Where Prince is coming from is always very interesting to talk about. I've always thought that line was very erotic. To me it sounds as if he's referring to her screams of passion that are coming from a place of love and solidarity between the two of them. Thus, it's like a prayer in that it's sincere and holy. Perhaps?? | |

To me the lyrics could easily be read as marital vows. I wonder how many husband-to-be's have infringed on this copywrite?
