Wondering what his logic was to release on a Sunday.

i just figured it was keeping more in line with the schedule target has for releasing/distributing new merchandise, rather than the standard industry schedule for releasing new albums. i have no idea what i'm talking about, though. lol

I'm pretty sure it will, and I believe Sunday is the 1st day for soundscan totals, so it will have the advantage of having all 7 days counted as opposed to just Tuesday - Saturday. Probably another reason why it was released on Sunday, Guns & Roses released their CD on Sunday last year too.

He's really going for US charts this year with the imports from Europe and International sales Target will sell out in days bumping up the chart sales....smart move ...but it does cost us overseas... lol

I assume part of his strategy also is that each cd set sold will count as three units. Tripling the posted sales numbers.

I think that applies only if the set contains over 100 minutes of music. Does anyone know how long the combined set runs?
Change it one more time..

Prob not, cause it is released with Brias, so they would only count it as two prince units and 1 bria unit.

Technically, Sunday counts for this week, so first day sales will be separated from the rest, which will cause a lower debut... But Target will hold back first day sales or something?

By the way, albums exclusive to one retailer are only allowed to chart on the Billboard 200 since November 2007, when Eagles shifted 700,000+ with their Walmart (I think) exclusive set, so Billboard was forced to change their rules, since they couldn't ignore such huge numbers.
