It's a pity he has stopped with the nice packaging and special editions of his albums. Not to say everyone else is doing and so should he, but really the fans get nothing. I suppose I should just chalk it up to his JW minimalist nature as well as he thinks we are polluting the earth with junk. A lot of artists are switching to cardboard sleeves and digipaks, not just Prince. What I do is put all the cardboard sleeves in a nice CD box, and keep the CD itself in a CD wallet. That way, everything stays nice. And, the first thing I do is rip the CD.

P had this site to remedy the situation. http://www.crystalballcd....rames.html It's been reported that Lotusflow3r.com will also have the lyrics up and perhaps downloadable. Cool, thank you! So, all the "info" and comments on the lyrics on there were given by Prince? Some sound "too earthy" and straight for me to believe that! "info" is right. Many believe it's a bunch of purple poo. But come'on folks... besides being more environmentally friendly to produce (as opposed to plastic cd cases) and cheap of course, this kind of packaging acknowledges that more and more people are buying and storing media digitally. That's especially appreciated as someone who lives in an apt in the city where real estate & room is too scarce to be occupied with stacks of cds. Today I received White flags for WInter Chimneys by Wendy and Lisa...an Colored Vinyl that was a gatefold package that had information, art and lyrics. The sleeve the vinyl was in was also good quality. In addition to that I got a signed copy of the same album on CD. In addition to that I got the album in downloadable form AND a sticker. All for 40 bucks. NOT BAD. I'd like to see prince actually do vinyl, let alone a proper cd packaging. Christian Zombie Vampires

But at the same time they are putting out there Vinyl, iTunes, and Special Editions...and singles. Prince pretty much gives you a download..or if you do get the actual cd, it's packaging is CRAP. I know a lot of artists are switching to cardboard sleeves, but the packaging for Lotus is on a thinner quality paper than some of his previous albums. I wish they had used 100# cover stock instead of 80# cover. It would have made a huge difference. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
