Did Prince write Q-Tip's Rap?

In Chocolate Box, or did Q-Tip bring his own lyrics to the verse?

Q-Tip is one artist that actually writes his own rhymes. It would be impossible for anyone else to write for him without his fans knowing that he didn't write it.

Believe it or not MOST rappers if not all, write their own shit, bad as some of it is, they wrote it.

It's good either way, not matter who wrote it, however, the golden ticket line feels like Prince to me. cool

Apples to Oranges. Q-Tip wrote his own lines...to do differently would be a very affront to he as a free-will artist.

forget the question whether or not q-tip wrote his own rap, who else like me forgetst that q-tip is even on the song and when it gets to the rap you always think..."hey, Prince sounds really different on this rap" and then you come to the realization, for like the 700th time, that that isn't Prince.

Check the songwriting credits - Tony is actually listed on some of those songs that he rapped on. I bet he is living on the royalties now because he damn sure doesnt have any music employment.

There was a time in the 90's that it was popular for "rappers" to rhyme other peoples writings. The Ruff Ryders did this alot!!

I wanna see the Tony M. royalty check. I bet it is like $3 a month or something. When Prince says "where da drums?" at the beginning it almost sounds like q-tip

sadly this track would not even make it as a decent b-side on q-tip's new brilliant cd
