Prince negotiated directly with Target on this one through their Senior VP of Distribution and Marketing. Prince created all the artwork and worked directly with manufacturer for production and distribution. Target's only job and investment is in marketing and promotion...commercials that will end after Leno's performances. Target promotion beyond the commerical..premium ad spacing in this weeks circular..floor decals at front end registers and at new release cd section, Lotus banner hung above new release section above "race track"...commercial will air on Target Red Channel in stores.

Prince has held up his end...how do you think Target is doing?

I saw the target commercial once, but then I don't watch tv that much. Has anyone seen it more than once?

Well, i shop at Target alot and i stopped in my local store yeaterday to ask about Prince's new Album and they said it would be on shelves on Sunday. Other than that i haven' seen any advertisments in the stor itdelf, but maybe the promotional collateral isn't scheduled to be displayed until Sunday.

The Target commercial was really well done...too bad it isn't being played more.

I was very stunned by how good the commercial was but it hasn't been shown much so I don't know how much good it will do in the long run. They need to show it more cause it is a very good idea with the pricing and all.

Just saw the commercial on BET. It'z so nice,colorful,and pretty. It needz 2 air more frequently,tho. I recorded it when it aired during Leno. Also,the cd was advertised on the front page of the Target ad 4 this week,and the displayz in the store this morning were prominent,with the commercial blasting from some of the tvz.

I've only seen it twice. They need to play this all the time, especially during prime time with shows like American Idol, CSI, NCIS, Dancing With The Stars, all the highly rated shows. Thats where we'll see some real impact. I'm hoping that I'll see this commercial a lot more this week and maybe next week too.

The Prince commercial was playing all day at Nokia Plaza yesterday. Here's a pic I took...

It havent seen the commercial on TV. But went to target Sunday to get the new CD and they had it playing on all the TV's and also the CD was up front at the echekout aisles as well as in the music area. Though I didnt see any banners or posters or anything . The commercial is very well done.

That is great. Prince is smart Target is one of the few retail stores that's doing very well in these financial hard times!

You couldn't miss the CDs at my Target. There were a number of register displays, and they were on the top shelf. They also had a lot in stock. The entertainment specialist (whom I know) told me that they received 192 copies. I found that to be a bit ambitious for my town, Ithaca, NY, that has less than 40 thousand residents.

I haven't seen the commercial on TV yet. Also, I went to Target today and bought the CD. They didn't have a display or anything to make it stand out. It was on the shelf with the rest of the new releases.

I saw the Target commercial on TV 2nite while my mom was watching Dancing With The Stars. In fact, it was my mom who pointed it out. She knows how big a Prince fan I am.
