N.E.W.S. I am listening for the upteenth time to this album and would be a happy soul if part of the Lotus Flow3r is in this vein of music. I have grown to appreciate this smooth sound and look forward to sitting in my backyard with my dog at sunset with a chilled glass and the new releases. My neighbors won't "Call the Law" on me!

NEWS is pretty fun. It takes the edge off rush hour traffic. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

Is there a interview to Leeds or other musicians talking about those session? Except some interview to the violinist and candy dupfler for Xptetation session, I never read anythink for NEWS and Kamasutra ones.

I seem to recall Eric Leeds mentioning the recording of N.E.W.S. (maybe in his NPGMC chat transcript?). He didn't go into much depth as I recall but I'm sure he said something along the lines of it all being pretty much one take, Prince just told them the key to play in, and set the basic tempo and motif for each track and they jammed along in an improvisational way... Just somewhere in the middle,
