Turn Me Loose

ok I know I'm late but I had never heard the recorded version of Turn Me Loose until today along with CH Box and I like it

Its weird because I actually like that recorded version better than the live version he did on Leno which is very rare

I agree. I usually think his live stuff trumps studio recordings. At least new stuff.

Your talking about that radio version right? Radio dude; 'New one from Prince y'all... showing no signs of slowing down ... at all!' cool

Although great studio track, I prefer the Jay Leno version woot! great track!

Yea, sort of.
It was the "radio version" if that counts.

Studio version is "cleaner" but the video clip of the Leno performance has more intensity. Also, at the end of the video clip on LOTUSFLOW3R when the audience roars, U can hear me go "YEAH"... then "YESSSS" lol that alone makes the live version on Leno much better thumbs up!

This is 1 funky track - sad 2 hear it wont make it on2 any of the new CDs.

I have to agree
It wouldn't be the same song without that "YEAH" or "YESSSS"
It Just completes a classic track
Well Done, jgreco7, Well Done

Agreed.
It's one of the best Prince-does-James Brown tracks since Sexy MF. Musicology is cool though.

I also agree. A rare case of the studio version trumping the live one.

I like the studio version much better than the Leno performance. I was surprised.
