Scary TARGET Experience. Online ONLY?

Well, I just called three different Targets, and they all said their system says "online only"... NO info on a physical March 29th release.

Before when I called, they said they would have it, but not until the 29th.

Target and other brick and mortar stores are fighting for their very existence. They wouldn't do an online-only deal at the expense of alienating their walk-ins. The help desks just don't have the info available at this time. Their supply line is in a constant state of flux.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

You're right... I think it's like they look it up on the Target system, and since it's available as pre-order, and not in their in-store system, they say "online only"...

By them telling people this, they R dissuading the walk-in biz, 4 those of us who LOVE going 2 a "record store" 4 a new release.

I'm still going to Target on the 29th. Hopefully it will be there but if not shrug

But it's not like I have to travel very far so I have nothing to lose. There is one target store about 10 minutes away from my house in one direction. And if it ain't there, 10 minutes in the other direction there is another Target store.

Did you talk to a help desk or a media specialist (as they call them). I personally know the cd specialist at my local target, and she knows that I am a Prince fan. I will stop there today to ask her about this.

Of course it would be in Target stores.
Must have been a system glitch or there could be a different DPCI (sku) # for hte online version and the version in stores.
Regardless, it will be in stores this Sunday, so relax.
If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

I'm payin' my $77 bucks tomorrow and downloading it. If I can get it at Target this weekend, great. If not, I can wait. shrug
