Prince and the law

Prince for the most part has had no trouble with the law save for some warning ticket for movie theater shenanegins right? I think that speaks volumes. He is connected to The Rolling Stones style etc and has for the most part lived relatively drug free.Keith, Roth, countless rap acts have been in trouble with the law. Even with his Lady Godiva live act in 1980 with Dirty Mind he hasnt even received an indecency charge as others have since then and before. Sure he didn't whip out his dick like Morrison etc but still..he showed his ass on national television and wore see through pants lol. I dont think that he laughs at other musicians misfortunes (such as Rick James and now Dangelo which was just reported albeit alleged). It is sort of a paradox how he was this image of dirty sex and danger supposedly and yet deep down is a clean living god fearing man etc and has not for the most part had any run ins with Johnny Law...as far as I know. If so then I stand corrcted and it still isnt what one would think from such a supposed renegade act. Prince is a good boy.

Yeah, maybe Prince has had the grace to know where to fight his battles: On stage and record and with Warner brothers and not with the law of the land.

He did get taken to court in the late 80s over whether or not he lifted lyrics/music from "What's Cookin' In This Book" for "U Got the Look," although he was found innocent in the end.

Not a behavioral thing, but a run in with "the law" anyway that got media attention.

I have always liked this about prince. he sets good examples. i felt safe at xenophobia as i felt that if anyone got out of hand...he'd protect me. plus, if he does do a little off color things here and there, as we all do, u dont hear about it all over. some ppl in hollywood r in the news every day for drug abuse, spouse abuse, hitting on the paparrazzi etc. u never heard of prince beating up a photographer, as much as he'd probobly like to...(and dont say he's too small) because he's not weak, and he could rip that camera off the guy and smash it. sure, having those big, handsome body guards with him certainly helps, but he's also too much of a gentleman to lower himself to that anyway.
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

He's a Very Smart Man and he doesn't Deal with the Small Petty Nonsense. He has Security to help him out with Trouble and he always has a very Good Team of Individuals. Prince isn't into Illegal Activities he's too Cool for that stuff. He minds his own Business.

No, Prince has never whupped anyone's ass. But he has his bodyguards do that. And they have been known to be real jerks.

But still, I'd say Prince is fairly decent in regards to being law-abiding.

One of the good things about him that never gets mentioned.
For all the bad boy image that he built up around himself he has stayed out of trouble with the law. A lot of people in show business could take a lesson from him.

I totally agree, everyone always talk about how weird Prince is but you never hear him being arrested for drugs or something silly like D'Angelo, being accused of sexual assault like Rick James or anything immature or stupid.
All the man does is go about his business, making music and taking care of Paisley Park!!! True Professional!!!

Most body guards acts like jerks... They're paid for that i'd say... Anyway John Carpenter told to a friend that his BG didn't let his fans talk to him although he likes it...

That's one of the things I have always loved about Prince. We all have adjectives to describe him, but "thug" is not one of them.

I never thought bad of Prince ever. I know he is a Good Law Abiding type of Guy. I would Never think he would deliberately Hurt anybody. I just think sometimes he's not always aware of what's going on because he has so much to Concentrate on and can't really deal with the Small or Mundane things. I refute people like Sag10 who say Prince wasn't always a Gentleman. I choose to think in the Positive about Prince and Don't ever wanna hear Negative about him. Personally,I don't believe it nor do I wanna hear it. Even if he told me Firsthand, that is his Private Business and not Mine. He is a Grown Man and he makes his Own Decisions why should anybody Try to tell Him what to Do or Act?
