In 2004 I was in line to see Prince on The Tonight Show. We got there at 6am for the 8am ticket sale, and then they recommended that we IMMEDIATELY get in line to get in at 3pm! We were in that line for 6-7 hours! Ended up getting great seats.
Anyway, I had my iPod with me and played a bunch of The Work for people in line - songs such as Play, Heart Of Stone, The Grand Progression, and Moonbeam Levels were people's favorite. I would've played more, but my battery ran out.

This is the reason I didn't get an iPod Touch -- 32GB just simply isn't enough. I could fill it up with Prince stuff alone.
I opted for the 120GB iPod Classic (silver) so I wouldn't have to choose what to put on there. It all goes on there . . . I'm also in the process of ripping PR/UTCM/SOTT/GB/D&P/Hits/Rave/Aladdin into digital, iPod-ready files. So far I have only done the video collections.

Blimey, I thought the 1455 I had was a lot!
Thats not even counting The Family, Apollonia 6, Vanity 6, Sheila E, The Time, Wendy & Lisa, Jesse Johnson, Andre Cymone, Dez Dickerson, The Rebels, The NPG albums or any video's. I do have 8798 items on my iPod if that counts for anything? [Edited 3/21/09 7:26am] "Lisa, i'm gonna give u the brush, and u're gonna paint the side of the train..."

omg... i only have 7.9GB. Don't let that make you feel inferior. It just means the other person prefers a format that sucks more space. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

So convenient to have all the songs in one place to listen to. I have some absolute faves that are on a playlist.. How have some of you guys organized your ipods? I have 1580 Prince tracks, there is a Prince playlist, a live Prince playlist and an Instrumental Prince playlist Other material, such as The Time are not included in the Prince playlist. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Also, what is the resolution of your movies? Just wondering if the resolution is too high.

I rip my music at higher bitrates for CD-quality. I use the "Treble Booster" iTunes EQ preset with offsets the naturally bass-heavy Bose headphones . . . the result is amazing sound. I don't like the in-ear phones either -- they're very "unnatural" to me.

There's a company that paints iPods and of course it would've been purple. http://www.colorwarepc.co...assic.aspx
