has anyone heard of this song,it's supposedly unreleased,i just heard it tonight for the first time and i thought i heard every one of this man's song....so has anyone heard it and if so what year was this song made and on what album?

I have almost all his albums on my computer. I just looked it us, and I think you stumbled on something unreleased

this song was posted on vibe magazine's web site, along with the article on wendy & lisa. either they got permission to use it, or else vibe magazine violated prince's wonderful ass!

As for Wonderful Ass I know a lot of people like it and it seems like a thread pops up about it every three months or so but when I finally heard it I was disapointed. Oh well

Dating back to 1983, this funky pop effort was updated in 1986 using synth, rhythm guitar and a loud dominating drum machine. It's about a girl's ass making up for her lack of understanding Prince's quirky ways. Wendy and Lisa updated Prince's original and at one point chant "The Revolution will be heard!"

It was one of the tracks mentioned as being on 'Roadhouse Garden', but remember, RG is a compilation of Revolution era material, compiled in 1999, there's no Roadhouse Garden album from the mid-80s.

I don't think anyone is saying you're not real fans. I think some are just surprised that some old school Prince fans never got to hear some of the classic unreleased stuff.

At the same time, it is surprising that you've been a fan for 19 years and haven't delved into bootlegs further. They really aren't that hard to find, especially these days. Do some digging and I think you'll find a whole lot of wonderful music is out there to be had!

(And no, I can't claim to have heard every single song Prince has ever recorded. The man is reported to have thousands of unreleased tracks in the Vault. But of the hundreds of circulating tracks, you'd be hard pressed to find one that I don't have.)
