Girl is another song from back in the height of Prince's creativity. I know they say hindsight is 20/20, but if ONLY Prince marketed some of his b-side brilliance back in the day.

I know... I know... maybe the fact that it was a b-side allowed just us "hardcore" fans the opportunity to experience it, making all the more special.

BUT... This song could have DEFINITELY been on Paisley Park, and might have done well as a single. Maybe it wasn't released because it's got a little bit of a "Tainted Love" feel to it. I also read a review that said that this song was a bit dull.

I HUGELY disagree. It's mesmorizing and hypnotic... and the lyrics are Prince... simple and true... in all of his odd bliss.

This was also the first time we heard the lyric "If I was anything else I'd be the water in your bath".

So many great lines came from this song.

One of my personal favorites is...
