3Another example is when you correct someone who says "I ain't got no money."

"ain't got no" would be a double-negative implying that he does, in fact, have money.

But to correct him would be an error, unless we knew for sure he was broke.

He may be purposely using the double negative to state that he DOES have money.

He might not want to actually lie, but might also not want to have to lend money, so to get out of it he says "I ain't got no money." You assume he's broke, so you don't ask to borrow the money. But in reality he's loaded with cash but doesn't want the bad karma which comes from the white lie. So, he uses a double negative to mask his intentions.

Don't assume.

This whole could/couldn't care less thing bugs me too and earlier I was thinking about asking if it's a US thing in the GD forum. Bet here it is and it's not just me. I agree with the poster that said it's the same as your/you're. Just like too and to, off and of, their/there/they're.

And adding, but I don't on the end changes nothing! You still could care less, so aren't as uncaring as you could be.

Anyway, no idea about the bands. We aren't allowed fake album track lists here anymore, are we allowed fake band lists?
