Its impossible to even try and compare the two. They are two totally different artist, with two totally different viewpoints. Why must you compare and pick the "better one"? Why not appreciate them both? Radiohead wrote it, Prince must have loved it enough to cover it so either you like Radiohead and Prince or you like Prince and not Radiohead. You either like oatmeal or you like cream of wheat. But if you've never had oatmeal, why even compare? | |

That's just lazy. But wow, the guitar is just amazing. I can't help but notice that. The drums are also a big improvement on the original's...(They produce a deeper, richer sound to my ears.) This is all just my opinion.

i think prince brought something unique to his live cover of the song, but i don't think it quite hit the bullseye of how the original song - the words AND the music of radiohead's version - was meant to make the listener feel. radiohead's version makes me want to sigh. prince's version makes me want to go, "cool! prince is covering radiohead!" Who wants to sigh? I'd much rather go "cool! prince is covering radiohead (whoever they are)!" | |
