I love it. I'm also a fan of the subtle lyrical changes, like turning "slob" into "slave". Puts a different spin on the overall meaning IMO. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

When spring break is over, I'm gonna teach it to my Junior High Praise Band. We're gonna end the song like this: What if God is one of us? What if God is some of us? What if God is all of us? I think God is all of us! I know God is all of us! I know God is all of us! I know God is all of us! God...is all of us! You're teaching this to a praise band???? That God IS all of us??? Are you Morman? We are not God. YIKES! BTW, God WAS one of us, His name was Jesus. This song never made sense to me. I don't like either version. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Absolutely his best cover. It is so good I feel like he has made the song his own. I especially love the guitar solo - nothing fancy but if you listen carefully it fits the song just perfectly. Oh, and of course the Love thy will be done intro is a nice touch.
