What a rant, 714! Do you feel better now? I was you, too! A Gemini, 13 etc,,,I don't think that Prince is boring at all. Heck, I am still discovering and enjoying new music from him.He was, and is, and will always be one of the greatist artists of all time.Personally, I am thankful to have an artist, any artist, who I can say that I am still listening to new material from, 20 some years later.

Count your blessings!

BORING!(now) NOBODY was a bigger fan then me! He defined my pubescent years (as he did for many); I was/am a gemini, 13 yr old, skinny little mulatto in 1977. Watching/listening to him now is like watching Rocky 5; If (as a performer) you can't inspire young people its time to stop. Old people (my age and up) don't buy music, (okay maybe a little) young people do. You gotta speak to them!!!! And dude, you are not!!!!! You were musically innovative, cutting edge, a little angry (with the status of the world), inspiring. WTF happen? Old Age? Not an excuse.

There was nothing cool about it being 92 degrees with 100% humidity and you can smell someone's head 3 blocks away. That made my stomach turn when I was a kid. lol

I agree, they love the music from the 80's too

A lot of youth are sophisticated enough to appreciate "Classic Rock" and 80's music, which by the way just about everything from music fashion movies(remaking 80's movies) are very popular

The crowds go crazy over Girls & Boys, A Love Bizaree, the Glamorous Life, Take Me With U, Let's Go Crazy, Raspberry Beret, Purple Rain and more

Music to me is timeless and Prince has his own sound/style

To all who "THINK" I'm out of touch on the subject of my post; I WORK in a concert(20 yrs)venue and have seen "thousands" of bands in my life. I'm not sitting at home wearing a ruffled shirt from 1985 like some people. I "WANT" to be blown away by PRINCE again but it ain't happening. There was a time when you never heard anything like his music. Its was a rubiks cube when most people played with sliding block puzzles. It was unstoppable, like a tsunami, you didn't know who it was, you just moved to it. It was vital. Now, (like his appearance)its gonna be pretty, all the sequins hand sewn, each the exact distance from the next, not a hair out of place, sexy to the point of parody. Twenty years ago I said he'd be playing Vegas. I wanted to be wrong. Where do you go once you jump the shark?
