I'm expecting lots of linn drum, synth solo's, chicken grease, guitar solo's upfront bass, stripped down funk.

Also a couple nice ballads, not over done but some multi layered vocals.

No expectations, I'm just always happy to hear Prince's new material.

i'm kind of expecting an updated "emancipation", in that you can derive a theme from each disc, but really there's no strict "sound" applied to each album. obviously, bria's disc is going to have her on lead vocals. i think that will be the most noticeable distinction between the three discs.

This is the one I'm setting my expectations lowest on, to be honest. The songs we've heard from it so far don't take me back to the Minneapolis Sound at all, and that's a little depressing. I'll give it a fair shot, but by keeping my expectations low on this one, I'm hoping to avoid disappointment.

to end up sounding like an updated emancipation with a bit of an edge and
less perhaps a bit more easy on the sugary ballads.

most curious about "ol' skool company" since the reviews have been saying
it's 'the new days of wild'. if it's one tenth as good as days of wild is
in a live setting, i'm already happy. the rest is a bonus.

would love to here some funky edge... not really feeling James Brown type songs hes been doing lately so definately don't want to see that

Its Prince's car I'm just along for the ride... but man I want a funk/rb type record that I can just bang all the way through

The same thing Prince alwayz deliverz-great music.

The great sounds we have been treated to throught the years There is a richness to all he does. Each will find something to get into with the songs

No particular expectations but I'm more curious to hear this one over the other 2. I liked "Chocolate Box" a lot.

I expect good music. Prince almost never disappoints me.

Im not really sure what to expect. The previews ive heard haven't exactly got me salivating - but im sure there will be some stuff that i really like on there. At worst itll sound like a bunch of mediocore demos. Im far more hyped for Lotusflow3r.

I agree its likely itll be alot like the Chocolate Invasion. Tracks that aren't massively fleshed out - studio ideas so much as fully formed songs. Probably songs that weren't deemed good enough to put on Lotusflow3r which he's definitely pushing as the main album.

I hope it's as interesting as the that jelly fish front cover. The Never Be Another Like Me is simply dreadful sounding, but hopefully the others won't be of that quality

I think we can be sure it will be mainly an Electronic sounding album.

I always thought 3121 would have been a killer album if it had stuck to the more synth based funky stuff
