Aint' it tho'?

I love this track. Its everything some of huis harshest critics were asking from him imo.

There's a lot of 'space' to it and you can really feel him stretching. I really wish he would do this live.

i think the track is among his great rock tracks.

wouldn't associate it too much with funk though...

I think it's funky in it's own way. Not bottom heavy Parliament funk but still funk. Like Hendrix Band Of Gypsy's funk groovin.

nod Yup! I've been lovin Wall Of Berlin!
It's catchy, cute, cheeky and all that tearin up
he does on those guitar tracks!! guitar
The runs where he changes the tempo are awesome
and I love how he puts in a nice meaty guitar solo
at the end and not just a little teaser one like he
does a lot. On Wall Of Berlin he lets it rip! woot!
guitar headbang
Can't wait to get this one on the album!!

the guitar soloing is beginning and in
the background he goes: "knock it baby!"

I love that it's a song about sexual fantasy/role play. "In my mind I'm in some German town...she said u wanna four-leaf clover in the round?"..."We just met -- or at least we pretend -- it's so fresh knocking down the Wall of Berlin"..."Who u gonna be tonite, baby?"..."Is that the Queen of Sheba or an alien dream?" IMO, this kick-ass track is the perfect balance between dirty mind-ed Prince and JW Prince. LOVE IT!!! woot!

What is rock about the Wall of Berlin? What because it has a guitar in it? Some of you are hilarious

I think the drumming is great. Sounds like Blackwell knows a bit about Mitch, which must come in handy these days, if you're playing drums for Prince.

It has a rock spirit/feel to it as well. Not exactly heavy metal.
