Cover or sample of a Prince song.

For me the worst cover is Ginuwine's When Doves Cry. The song is a paper cut and the video is the lemon juice poured on it. However when MC Hammer sampled it for his "Pray" I was rather impressed.

The Black Album (in it's entirety, released when the Prince LP was withdrawn) - Anonymous European Band (Guilty pleasure)

frost's cover of "sex shooter" is amongst my fav covers of a prince song ever

it was on that norwegian 5 disc tribute box set that prince banned

damn that's a fine cover it sounds like what i imagine bjork would do to
that song, minimal northern lights shimmering to stark, electronic icy beats.

I dig Alicia Keys sample of Purple Rain in her Never See Me Again ballad...or whatever that song is titled. Her cover of How Come U Don't Call... that sucked for me cuz her vocals just seemed to lessen the sincerity of the song. And the keyboard seemed weak.
