If he was playing on "The Chris Isaak show" or something similar, then you (or someone else) would be complaining saying that he needs to perform on a more mainstream show so more people could see it. Letterman, Conan, and Jimmy Fallon have younger audiences, but younger people don't buy albums anymore. Jay's audience is older, but they buy albums.

Younger viewers are just gonna download whatever particular Prince performs.

But an older crowd will see Prince on Leno, get nostalgic, they'll see the commercial for Target, and they're go out and buy the album.

I think Prince makes the right decision to go on Leno.

Plus he always seems to enjoy himself.

Although, I would've liked to see him on Conan when he was in New York.
