Though I saw the Vault with my own eyes at the first Celly, I hadn't seen that video before. Ingrid was soooo cute. The sound drop-outs in the vid were making me nuts. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Nice! Michael Williams (the Much Music VJ in the video) was the coolest!

Good freakin' grief! I started watching this a few hours ago and had to step away for a while. I sat down to watch the rest a few minutes ago and it's already "no longer available." Man, his minions are seriously on the prowl 24/7! And I'm sure this cheesy old video will be available to watch on the new site (definitely not). I understand the copyright/ownership issues, but sometimes this just seems absolutely asinine.

It's still there. But, yeah... it could be gone in a flash. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

First thangs first.
I am sooo glad this is not a thread about that bullshit album! That said, I'm CRAZY jealous of you, squirrelgrease!!! I mean, you were in the "frou-frou room", (or whatever the hell it's called), AND you got to see the vault!!! Awesome. Any chance you the door was open?

I think the Vault door was closed, or just slightly open. There was so much to see and take in... it was all so surreal. What period did you get to experience this in? Sorry to play twenty questions with you, but this is one my fantasies!

Went to the first Celebration in 2000. My wife and I were the first in line for the first tour that day. I guess we were lucky, because the staff started shortening the tours later in the day. We got to pretty much walk around the whole place. Highlights were the studio where SOTT was recorded, seeing his underground parking spaces full of cars, the Vault, the awards, the "hall of Prince" - a hallway with P's pix blown up really huge, spanning his career, the soundstage with more cars on display, his outfits from videos and Purple Rain, his motorcycle from PR, the big spotlight from the early shows and 1999/Little Red Corvette videos, his guitars, pianos etc. There was also a table full of iMacs for us to choose which album we wanted Prince to put out next. I think the choices were Acoustic Album, Piano Album, Rock album, Unreleased Vault Songs (Crystal ball 2) where we picked the songs from this list: 1. Electric Intercourse 2. Love & Sex 3. Xtraloveable 4. 3 Nigs Watchin' A Kung Fu Movie 5. Evolsidog 6. Adonis & Bathseba 7. Eye Wonder 8. Others Here With Us 9. American Jam 10. Lust U Always 11. Strange Way of Saying Eye Love U 12. Everybody Want What They Don't Got 13. Girl 'O'My Dreams 14. U're All Eye Want 15. Turn It Up 16. Kiss - Xtended Version (Never released b4) 17. Katrina's Paper Dolls 18. She's just a baby 19. Gotta stop (messin' about) 20. If it'll make U happy 21. Come Electra Tuesday 22. Girl ...meeting other Purple fans was really cool too. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
