Best workout, stoner, cleaning, stepping out the shower to stepping out the door, driving song ever! How i love the America 12" It sure didnt fit radio or the norm in 85, a cut above most records released that year. strange that his album covers at one time could be considered fine art. I want a big poster of that for my office. [Edited 3/8/09 5:36am] That album cover was pretty awesome. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I have to agree with those saying its too dam long for a 12 minute song.
As much as I like the song I go for the shorter version anyday. I mean how many "America, America god shed his grace on thee" do we need seriously Smurf theme song-seriously how many fucking "La Las" can u fit into a dam song

I love the shortened version and the (regular) extended version
They jam I love the live video as well, they jammed it out similarly This song and especially the video reminds me of exciting times, the Purple Rain high was still heavy, he dropped a love album 2 his fans & friends-ATWIAD and when this video came out there was already heavy talk of another movie, Prince & the Revolution were in France and into the Parade transition...

Unfortunately, it's a vinyl rip. That's what I heard. Kinda why I put "legit" in quotes. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I just heard it for the first time last year and it totally kicks ass. I love how it just keeps on going without it being repetitive, at least to me. Funky as hell! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I have them carefully packed, still wearing their original protective shrink wrap. ...[in my best Frodo] "prereciousss" [Edited 3/9/09 6:39am]
