Her singing/rapping and the lyrics are awful . . . but the music is awesome on her CD.

LaVisHh	I like her. She has a great personality, is naturally beautiful, and Prince was hot on her trail. It wasn't just a working relationship, they spent a lot of time together outside of work.

Um.. but you see the difference between Carmen and slaves is that SHE HAD A CHOICE TO TAKE THE NAME OR NOT TO TAKE IT. Slaves either took their name, got whipped till they took it or just got killed. So there is a huge difference between the two.
She could've said "nope thats ok, I dont want that name" and walked away. I dont think slaves had that advantage.

I really liked the Carmen cd. Music is really funky and it was a really accessable cd straight away. I'm sure I remember reading an interview with Carmen (FHM I think), where she said she didn't date Prince, because he wasn't interested, although she'd fell for him in a big way.

sherri66	I never really thought much about her until she came into my place of business. She was very cool and very nice. I've never seen her perform. I think that it would probably be more interesting than anything else.
