Poor Little Bastard, yea or nay? This song is really sticky sweet and a bit smarmy, but ohhh how good it goes down. Like eating ice cream by the fireplace, with a women putting her hands in your hair.
This is far from a masterpiece, but I love it's innocence, beyond the title. Probably why Prince didn't release it. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Hmmmm.... I would say, yea, but maybe with the 'N' of the nay. Seems at bit more of a throw-away than Damn U.
I get the feeling that the song title might have been a dare? Wasn't that the case with 'La La La, He, He, Hee'? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere?

I love it, it's very sweet and tender. It's definitely in the same vein as "Damn U" as well as "Sweet Baby".

From: http://www.dtt-lyrics.com...A-Z.html#P
"Poor Little Bastard" was recorded in Australia, April 1992, along with the other I'll Do Anything material. It features the entire NPG, including The NPG Hornz, playing live in the studio. The track is a gentle and sentimental pop ballad, sung in a tender falsetto by Prince. Asking, "Where is your papa now?", the lyric relates to the story of I'll Do Anything, with an actor raising his young daughter while trying to get a job. I actually much prefer it to Damn U. Kind of haunting. Great vocals and nice keys by P on this tune. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I never thought of it that way but you're right, it is Damn U's twin, except Damn U is better. This song is ok. Not my favorite but not bad either. It gets a "yea" I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
