“I Feel For You” (So Excited, 1982) ...Prince sent it to Pointer Sisters before Chaka Who's heard that version by the Pointer Sisters
? , What do you think of it ?..... “I Feel For You” (So Excited, 1982) “Prince sent the song to us and we recorded it. I don’t know that we were always real happy with the way we recorded that song. We used to fight with Richard Perry a lot. He didn’t give us the freedom that we really wanted to have. Sometimes he turned us loose but a lot of times he held close reins on a song. He wanted to keep it close to the demo we heard. Even though it’s a good song, and a lot of people like it, that version is not one of my favorites…but I love Prince!” http://www.popmatters.com...h-pointer/ Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! Yeah, I haven't heard it in a while - IIRC, it's a lot closer to Prince's version in style - kinda cornball almost (love Pointer Sisters though)

I heard he wrote it with Patrice Rushen in mind. Rebbie Jackson (Michael's older sister) had a version on her album (I forget the name of the album). It was the album with "Centipede" on it. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.
