Lyrics we may not understand or want to interpret... Ok... Just wanted to start a thread about Lyrics we may not quite get and would like some input from others that may "get it". So here's the first one from me...
From The Most Beautiful Girl In The World..."and if the stars ever fell one by one from the sky, I know Mars, could not be too far behind....." Anyone want to interpret this for me?

Men are dry, women are wet. Shall I get a bit more crytpic tryptich? My American girlfriend had fantasies about being shagged from all angles by all manner of machines. Well, if it pleaseth the ladie... etc Cx

Ever heard of shoot for the moon -even if you miss, you'll still be among the stars?
Ever heard of Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars? He's saying when the day comes when everything will end, which is telling her to not worry when it does b/c even when she'll be gone, Mars (her man) is not too far behind. Um... let me warm up my vocals

I've always wondered about that line from "The Most Beautiful Girl..." too.
How about this one from "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker": My pants where wet, they came off But she didn't see the movie Cuz she hadn't read the book first Instead she pretended she was blind An affliction brought on by a witch's curse I have an idea about this one but I want to know what other people think.

I suppose it's about the ability to bend space so that we can get to another location in the Universe faster than trying to travel at the speed of light. If this can happen than I can bend space and end up sleeping next to Prince in a heartbeat. I'm working round' the clock on this thing. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

But she didn't see the movie Cuz she hadn't read the book first Instead she pretended she was blind... I think it refers back to the fact that Prince as narrator is in the bath with his pants on from a couple of verses back, he whips em off, Dorothy decides not to look at his nether regions cos she doesn't know him well enough, so pretends she is blind. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.
