The info about this video, as it was posted on Youtube: One of my favorite songs ever. This song was written by Prince, Wendy & Lisa and is from the Prince album "Parade". I had recorded myself doing this one day for no particular reason and I was playing and singing it by memory so I probably mess up the chords and what not. I've never actually "learned" the song...only loved it and tried to play it by ear. I have combined it with the last footage I have with my dog Buddy. I took her to Centre Island (Toronto) because I knew she was dying and I wanted her to have one last great day of being outdoors and by the water as she loved to be. It's shocking to realize that this was 2 weeks before her death and she was completely full of cancer at this point. Yet she gave this day her "everything". She ran around like a young dog playing in the water and looking back at me to make sure I was following her all the time. I love this memory of her and I am so glad I had this last amazing time with her because I can see that she was happy and that it meant so much for her to be able to run and play like that one last time. RIP my little girl. Jan 1 1994 - July 15 2006. Okay, I'm seriously crying over here, between listening to the song and reading the story behind it. What a beautiful tribute to a much-loved animal. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This has and will always be my favorite Prince song. When the movie came out, I was out of town and my bestfriend called me to tell me she saw it and was telling me about the song. By the time I made it back home, she was killed in a car wreck and this was the very last thing that she and I ever talked about. Song has so much meaning in my life. THE BEST!!!!! I still get chills every time I hear it. And everytime I've heard it live, I have cried.
