Strip down to our underwear? Should we or not?

In "D.M.S.R.", Prince urges us to, "strip right down to your underwear."

When performing that song live (lately) he has changed the lyric to something more tame. Yet, in "Ol' Skool Company" he talks about making the party stripping down to their underwear..along with blindfolding Billy for being square. So what's the deal?

Side note: why is the live lyric to DMSR "getting busy in a restaurant" instead of "wear(ing) lingerie to to restaurants". Isn't doing it in public more naughty than a camisole in public?
"New Power slide...."

Say no to underwear.
It only gets in your hair.
And it's got a funny way of stopping the juice.

I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me.
Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.
Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

Larry Graham isn't around and he has settled into his faith. God made the body and the underwear he was talking about wearing to a eater is the type worn by females in the start of his career.
