"Blue Light" from o-> can be considered Reggae and less so but still somewhat reggae is "I Rock Therefore I Am" from Chaos And Disorder.

I like that too very much! I think Chaos And Disorder is actually pretty good incl the title track and Zannalee. Very underrated by most Prince fans. The777Man

Apart from Blue Light and Ripgodazippa, there is also 17 Days - a less obvious one, but if you listen closely there is a reggae rhythm goin' on underneath.

Prince, with Rosie Gaines on vocals, performed "Redemption Song" once. It was pretty good, actually. It was earlier this decade, but I don't remember exactly when. Does anyone remember which boot that's on or what show? My stuff's not in front of me.

both ziggy marley and burning spear mix other genres, such as rock and jazz in2 their music. reggae has its bass/drum foundation, but is able to incorporate different rhythms, melodies on top of ska Snare drum pound on the 2 & 4

I'm afraid your the amatuer mate.
Peter tosh and Bob marley who never wrote together after 1974 wrote a song with Prince? With Terence Michael Butler and Wilton Felder thrown in for good measure? Yeah right. Not saying you've made anythng up, but either your info is wrong or it relates to a song using samples from said artist's songs. Maybe you could learn to research your FACTS properly before putting false info out there No need to thank me Squirrel Meat? Dont try it.

bob and prince met...i think it was at a Prince show; managers or some sorts wanted them to do work together Snare drum pound on the 2 & 4

Yes... but were Tosh, Butler et all there? I think not.
According to that story bob never had any time for prince. "When we called on Prince, he met us in this skimpy leopard g-string undergarment, which immediately aroused Bob’s Jamaican macho feelings, and so our stay was as brief as Prince’s g-string and Bob’s discomfort was shown all over his face" - Bob's manager, Don Taylor (from Per "amateur" Nilsens DMSR) And Tosh once called Princes music "fuckry". The facts:
The title information I provided above is verbatum from the ASCAP registry. ASCAP's purpose is to collect royalties. So why would ASCAP have a song title listed if it never existed? They wouldn't. Why would they credit Prince as a co-writer if he didn't co-write it? They wouldn't. To do so would basically be illegal. But just in case you still believe your silly gossip over reality, I have provided yet more proof from the U.S. Copyright office: _____ Type of Work: Recorded Document Copyright/Document Number: V3496D239 Date of Recordation: 2003-03-04 Entire Copyright Document: V3496 D239 P1-19 Title: Kum follow me / Contains a sample of Covert action. By Wilton Felder, Sr., Prince R. Nelson, Erica Williams, et al. _____ Type of Work: Recorded Document Copyright/Document Number: V3521D073 Date of Recordation: 2005-03-24 Entire Copyright Document: V3521 D073-074 P1-31 Title: Kum follow me / written by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Erica Williams et al. _____ I suppose now you're going to suggest that ASCAP and the United States Copyright Office are both wrong You're Welcome. I never said this song doesnt exist.
Just look at the date of registrations It's pretty obvious it's using SAMPLES from tunes by the artists listed, hence the filing at U.S. copyright office and ASCAP, for royalty purposes. But you can believe all those artist's miracously got together between 2003-05 and wrote that song if you want, but to those interested in only accuarte info, I will just clarify: Prince and Bob Marley did not write a song together. The copyright registration I provided has nothing to do with when it actually got written. It certainly wasn't written in 2003...and you know that.
The point is, these records clearly show that Prince is credited AS A CO-WRITER of the song. Did he really sit down with Bob or Pete - who the fuck knows man - but the fact remains, 3 legally binding official records say he did co-write the song, regardless of what you think you know about any of them. The copyright record does mention the use of a "sample" in the song - but does Prince have a tune called "covert action" ? How about Tosh? You're assuming that the sample has to do with Prince - but other than some second hand story, retold in a book, designed to be full of hype so that it would sell, you don't seem to have any real proof of your claim, other than your own opinion. Prove that Prince did not co-write the song and I'll admit that I'm wrong. Visit Bill's Radiator Shop - The best place to take a leak.

Nope "Covert Action" was a song written by Wilton Felder and performed by the Crusaders (who he played keyboards with), But by your logic he co-woote this song also
"Come Follow Me" was written by Bob Marley, I think its safe to assume this song (or maybe even album) "Kum Follow Me" filed at ASCAP just contains samples from the artist listed. It's quite common for an artist to be listed as co-writer even when all they've contributed is a sample: '03 BONNIE & CLYDE (Title Code: 470155296) Writers: HARPER MARVIN DARRELL PRINCE ROUSE RICK D SHAKUR TUPAC AMARU WRICE TYRONE J Performers: BEYONCE KNOWLES JAY Z JAY-Z JAY-Z FEAT.
