What do you think, will he? I am 15 and such a huge prince fan though i have never been to one of his concerts.I Live in germany at the moment and always wonder if prince will ever do another world tour, slowly but surely he is aging and so i was just wondering what your thoughts are on that. Yes in 5 months i will be moving back to US so it may be a little easier to get to a concert but anyhow. Tell me what you think  | |

well he really wants to target your age group you may need get the message out to him through mtv or what ever you kids are into... Problem is to bring that over to him over MTV and all those mainstream channels is hard as barley any of the musicians today do that type of music. Today the music is not the primary focus it is the image(style and general looks) that is the deciding factor of how to become successful or "famous" today,i mean i know what the mainstream type of thing is but since i can remember i have always liked James brown, George benson, Miles davis, Stevie Wonder, Al green, Curtis mayfield, Barry white and all those(Prince being my absolute favorite by miles:P). Then again I'm also a big fan of bands like Foreigner or Kiss, but not into that lil wayne or T.I hip/hop Rap stuff or in general any of that modern pop music. | |

I really hope so, I am in Ireland and waiting patiently for a tour, I NEED to go to one more Prince concert, we all miss him over here  | |

Hi, I know what you mean - I live in Northern Ireland - he's never played here and I don't hold out much hope of that ever happening, I've seen him in Dublin though and he was awesome!! Anyhow I have a 15 year old niece who knows of P only because of me - none of her friends have heard of him !!!!! I'm interested to know how you heard / got to know about him / got hold of his stuff??  | |

Hi, I know what you mean - I live in Northern Ireland - he's never played here and I don't hold out much hope of that ever happening, I've seen him in Dublin though and he was awesome!! I'm interested to know how you heard / got to know about him / got hold of his stuff?? Hmm i need to think back i mean my dad always liked prince and as a kid he always said this is the best musician in the world thats what i remember from that,but being 5 years old you don't really follow when your father says that. Though i do remember him always mentioning prince but i did not get a fan from him. When i was that age i loved things like billie jean and MJ in general  . My mom likes prince but not the huge fan. I think i was like 8 or 9 and heard Erotic City and that sound to me was amazing. Had no clue what it meant at the time I asked my mom who that was she said he's called prince. Asked her if thats his real name she told me she had no clue. Then shortly after i got hold of I wanna be your lover and Why you wanna treat me so bad, and Adore (one of the songs i find breath taking, cause i love those amazing falsettos).From that moment on i was a die hard prince fan,blown away by is eccentric sort of being. He seemed like such an influential person. His whole persona amazed me then and still does today like if he is some higher power . So since these "few" years i should say if i see some of the people that have been following him since 30 years he has been by far my favorite musician and I'm so upset that i could not live back 10-20 years to follow his career and i could not cope not ever seeing him live even if he would just do one song;)id be satisfied, was even able to spread the prince-mania around school a little as the ones who have no clue about him think he is the small gay man that screams a lot, but that never bothered me. I knew better and i have the true facts and thats all i need . If i look at this tasteless stuff that flows around nowadays I'm shocked and i am happy that i listen to what i listen:P So yeah thats my story to how i found out of prince.[Edited 2/25/09 15:12pm] | |
