How on fire are Prince and the band on this show? Was this the best show on the Triple Threat Tour? The only other video I've seen was Lakeland and it doesnt compare to it imo. Thoughts? cool

chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads

I thought MajesticOne89 was talking about 'The Homecoming' uptown show in 1983. If so, he was HOT on that show. That's the only show I've seen of that tour and I think it's one of his best show ever. Prince and The Revolution was in a great space at this time. I think that the best show I've seen of The Time. The Time rocked tha house as well and so did Vanity 6. Prince was the man! That tour was off tha hook! I wonder if Prince has the Detroit shows from late 1982 on video. I bet Prince, The Time, and Vanity 6 was rocking on that show as well.

3/15/83 was the Met Center (Bloomington, Minnesota) Triple Threat show in which complete sets from Vanity 6, The Time and Prince were pro shot with one static camera. The show has been bootlegged under the name The Homecoming on DVD and CD.

Quality is not excellent, but neat to see a full program with the opening acts

Vanity 6 (The Time as backing band) -
Warm Up
Wet Dream
Drive Me Wild
If A Girl Answers (Don't Hang Up)
Nasty Girl

The Time -
Get It Up
777-9311
Girl
Wild & Loose
Gigolos Get Lonely Too
Cool
The Walk

Prince -
Controversy
Let's Work
Do Me Baby
Sexuality
Let's Pretend We're Married
Lisa's Keyboard Solo
With You
How Come U Don'T Call Me Anymore
Lady Cab Driver
Little Red Corvette
Dirty Mind
International Lover
1999
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Close though man, that show sounds like March 7th 1982 at the Met Center at the end of the Controversy tour, often in the early days Prince would debut new songs on stage before an album (He played Head a lot on the Rick James Tour) and several ATWIAD songs found their way onto the 1985 stretch of Purple Rain tour like the Ladder.
It fits too as he made All the Critics in very early 82. Also by 83, white kids were coming moe to the concerts, so it would make sense for him to put crowd pleasers like 1999 and Little Red Corvette into the set.
Prince was disappointed with the turnout of 5580 in the 13,000 capacity hall (Nilsen DMSR 1998) BUT THE critics loved the show. The 83 concert it was sold out.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time
