The song is ok. His reasoning behind why 'your baby won't sleep around' is incorrect, but he's entitled to his opinion.
I just don't think you can keep a woman-or a man- from cheating just because their partner's good in bed.
People will cheat regardless of your their partners' actions, because, ultimately we are true to ourselves more than anyone else.

And why he performed this song on Oprah--and then added that freeze frame editting-- i will never know.

Know what you mean... But well this song is just for fun dso I don't think the "message" is to be taken to seriously... He wouldn't say that these days I think...

I didn't like it until Adamn, the guy with the tattoo on his forearm talked about it at Irvines JOTY concert.

I love that song...fun to dance to and a throwback to the days when Prince had a sense of humor...I think the message of that song has a bit of a sly wink behind it...

I've always loved that song.

I don't listen to it too often, though, because it gets stuck in my head for days! lol

I like the song a lot, but in fact I do not enjoy the production too much... too plastic for my taste sad

I love this song and I think it would have made a strong first single from 'Emancipation'.It would have done well in clubs too.

I like the initial song. And I like his vocal delivery.

BUT, as soon as the chorus comes crashing in the layers
of voices are just too much.

It's like that with 90% of Emancipation. Too many layers
of voices on the chorus and way too screamy, high pitched.

A bit less would have gone a lot further.

This is one of my favourite songs by P.
And certainly the highlight from Emancipation, with My Computer not very far behind.

In fact, just a little while ago i started a thread asking the very same question. biggrin
